New Blog Item--Gourmet Recipe of the Week!!

As you all know by now, I like food. I thought what a great way to connect with more food lovers then through a weekly gourmet recipe from one of our chefs. I will start posting some yummy recipes daily but each week I post a Chef's Special Gourmet Recipe! So enjoy, and let me know how they turn out! I would love to post your responses and how the recipes come out for you.
Chef's Recipe #1...
Eggs Portuguese aka Baked Tomato Au Gratin
Saute chopped tomatoes, garlic, bread cubes and basil in saute pan with olive oil until the tomatoes cook and they are Al Dente. Place mixture in oven proof casserole dish (may be made individually or in 9x13 dish family style). Bake in oven at 425 for 10 to 14 minutes until mixture bubbles. Take out of oven and grate fresh locatelli cheese over entire mixture, add two eggs over entire mixture. Place back in oven until cheese melts and eggs are cooked. Serve hot in casserole dish with garnish of fresh basil. As for measurements...the Chef says...as much or as little as you want of all items as long as it is a good mixture.
If you want to forgo the eggs....it's called Baked Tomato Au Gratin. The eggs make for a wonderful Brunch item!
