Bon appétit Chef Laurent

So The Bistro is always looking for ways to be diverse and we seem to always do things with a bit of flair. Last night was no exception. Chef Laurent Leveque, owner of Fleur de Lys Catering sponsored his very first sit down dinner at The Bistro. Chef Laurent attended culinary school in France and specializes in French Cuisine. I am sure it came to no surprise to the guests who attended, he is also an artist when food is involved. His menu included:
Winter Greens Mesclum Salad with dried cranberries, honey glazed Pecans, winter pears, and raspberry vinaigrette.
The second course included Pan Seared Scallop: pan seared, smoked and sea salt dusted Sea Scallops, Leak and Mint Fondue, Vanilla and crushed black pepper scented butter cream sauce. The entree was Pork Tenderloin, marinated in a blend of Mexican spices with a Tequila, cilantro and lime juice sauce. The Pork was served with a Paelle style rice: Saffron rice with Spanish Chorizo, green pea and green onion, along with roasted red pepper. And in case you haven't gained weight just from reading this post, as I did when I read his menu, the dessert was to die for. Praline Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Sea Sale Caramel Sauce. Need I say more?

The crowd was made up of some of The Bistro's Regular customers, some new and some of Chef Laurents loyal customers. With the romantic piano playing in the background, the ambiance of the Bistro, and Chef's incredibly exquisite display of food, it felt as though you were in France.

So if you are up for a trip away...why not stop into The Bistro at Our Town? We can either help you escape from the winter duldrums through a delicious cultured meal right here in Our Home away from home in Exton, or we can help recommend a great travel agent who can help wisk you away to a beautiful location!!

See you soon!
